The ninth day of the Induction Program was conducted on 11th September 2026 for the newly admitted first-year students. Similar to the previous day's, the sessions were organized in three different slots for Groups 1, 2, and 3 with the objective of Discipline / Anti Ragging, Engineering & its future, Sports, Project/Paper/Patent, Hackathon, Ideation and Innovation in Techbots club, Industrial Visit.

The morning session for Group 1 was conducted from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM in the Seminar Hall on the topic “Discipline / Anti Ragging”, led by Dr. Suryanarayana and Dr. Lokesh V. The session introduced students to the code of conduct, campus ethics, institutional rules, and anti-ragging policies. Students were encouraged to maintain a safe, respectful, and highly disciplined academic ecosystem.

For Group 2, an "Industrial Visit" was initiated starting at 9:45 AM. The visit aimed to orient students with actual industrial environments, machinery operations, and professional factory workflows early in their education. At 10:00 AM, students departed from the campus in college buses. Students from Aeronautical (AE), Automobile (AU), and Mechanical Engineering (ME) visited Dak Wood Company, Padubidre accompanied by faculty in charges Prof. Sathyaprakash, Prof. Vinod, Prof. Kavana, and Prof. Amrutha Lakshmi. Simultaneously, Marine Engineering (MR) students visited Gurucharan Industries, Baikampady under the supervision of Prof. Chandra Jogi and Prof. Sahana G K. During the visits, students observed specialized machinery operations, manufacturing assemblies, and professional workshop environments tailored to their engineering domains. The experiential learning journeys concluded successfully, and all batches returned safely to the college by 2:30 PM. The day provided invaluable practical exposure, establishing a strong foundation for their professional development.

The Group 3 session, held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM in Room No. 501, focused on “Project/Paper/Patent” and was conducted by Dr. Lokesh. The session highlighted the importance of academic research, understanding project execution, drafting research papers, and protecting unique engineering innovations through patent filings. Students were encouraged to plan their research activities and skill development according to their innovation interests.

From 11:15 AM to 12:45 PM, Group 1 attended a session on “Engineering & its future” conducted by Dr. Niranjan in the Seminar Hall. The session focused on emerging engineering trends, technological evolution, and changing industrial demands. Through the guidance provided, students were encouraged to develop technical skills that could support their future professional requirements.

Group 3 participated in a session on “Hackathon” conducted by Mr. Shailesh Shetty from 11:15 AM to 12:45 PM in Room No. 501. The session introduced students to the concept of hackathons as dynamic platforms for innovation, coding, collaborative building, agile engineering, and rapid real-world problem-solving.

In the afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Group 1 attended a session on “Sports” in the Auditorium, led by Dr. Dheeraj H & Physical Director. The session underscored the significance of physical education, teamwork, stamina, health, and strategic sportsmanship alongside academic workloads.

For Group 3, a special session on “Ideation and Innovation in Techbots club” was organized from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in Room No. 501. The event was led by Members of Techbots club, who engaged with students to promote innovative, outside-the-box robotic designing concepts and shared hands-on club project experiences. The event enriched students’ collaborative learning experience and concluded the day on a memorable note.

The day concluded with students gaining valuable exposure to institutional discipline, advanced research methodologies, future technical trends, active club communities, and practical on-site industry dynamics. The sessions contributed to creating a strong and positive foundation for their academic journey and professional development.
