The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with the Research and Development Cell, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, organized a session on “From Research Idea to Publication: A Practical Roadmap for Writing a High-Impact Research Paper” on 28th August 2026 at Department of CSE. The session was delivered by Dr. Umashankar K S, Professor, Department of Aeronautical Engineering, SIT Mangaluru and Postdoctoral Fellow, NITK Surathkal, who shared valuable insights into transforming research ideas into impactful publications. He enlightened the participants on identifying research gaps, structuring research papers, selecting appropriate journals, and maintaining publication ethics.

The event was conducted with the support and encouragement of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, Dr. Shirsha H S, HOD, CSE, and Dr. Praveen Shenoy, IIC Coordinator, under the guidance of Dr. Lokesh K S, R&D Coordinator. The session was coordinated by Prof. Deepthi P Dsouza and Prof. Nagaraja N S, with the support of Prof. Dikshit Mohan Borkar and Prof. Sushanth M S, Assistant Professors , CSE. The session provided valuable guidance and motivation to faculty and students aspiring to pursue quality research and publish impactful research work.
