The Departments of Information Science and Engineering (ISE), Computer Science and Design (CSD), and Master of Business Administration (MBA), Srinivas Institute of Technology, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a session on “Angel Investment/VC Funding” on 27th August 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Department Seminar Hall. The session aimed to create awareness among students about angel investment, venture capital funding, startup financing, and opportunities for supporting innovative business ideas.

The resource person, Prof. Mithunraj B, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, provided valuable insights into angel investors, venture capitalists, funding processes, investor expectations, and the importance of developing viable business models and effective investor pitches. The session encouraged students to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and understand how innovative ideas can be transformed into sustainable business ventures through appropriate funding.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal. The event also received valuable support from Prof. Sudarshan K, HOD, ISE & CSD,and Dr. Veena Santosh Rai, HOD, MBA and Dr. Praveen Shenoy, IIC Coordinator. The programme was coordinated by Prof. Sowmya, Prof. Sahana B and Prof. Priyanka.

The session witnessed enthusiastic student participation and provided a valuable platform to understand startup funding, investor expectations, and entrepreneurial opportunities.
