The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and the Department of Master of Business Administration (MBA), in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and EDP Cell, organized “Venture Quest – Startup Pitch and Innovation Competition” on 22nd August 2026 at 11:00 AM in the Seminar Hall.

The event provided a platform for students to present their innovative ideas and startup concepts before a panel of judges. The participants had the opportunity to showcase their creativity, entrepreneurial thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the potential of their ideas to be developed into successful ventures. The competition encouraged students to think beyond conventional approaches and explore innovation as a pathway towards entrepreneurship.

The event was judged by Dr. Glenson Toney, Assistant Dean, School of Engineering, St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), and Ms. Ankitha, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA. The judges evaluated the participants’ presentations and provided valuable feedback and guidance, helping students gain a better understanding of how innovative ideas can be effectively developed, presented, and transformed into viable startup opportunities.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, Dr. Shrisha H. S., Head of the Department, CSE, and Dr. Veena Santhosh Rai, Head of the Department, MBA. The event was supported by Dr. Praveen Shenoy, IIC Coordinator, and Dr. Soorya Krishna K, EDP Cell Coordinator. The Department Coordinators, Prof. Harishma K. V., Prof. Reshma B., and Prof. Megha, contributed to the successful organization and coordination of the event.

Venture Quest served as an engaging platform for students to explore the entrepreneurial ecosystem, strengthen their presentation and pitching skills, and gain valuable insights from the judges. The event successfully inspired students to develop innovative solutions and encouraged them to pursue entrepreneurship and startup opportunities.
