Ragging and Its Impact on Career.
On the occasion of Anti-Ragging Day, the 7th-semester students of the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS) took a pledge against ragging. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of ragging and to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment. The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, Srinivas Institute of Technology, and coordinated by the Department Event Coordinator.
The session was addressed by Mr. Gautham Shetty from the Department of Computer Science and Business System, who delivered a thought-provoking lecture on the topic 'Ragging and Its Impact on Career.' He highlighted the various consequences of ragging including psychological trauma, loss of academic focus, decline in performance, and the long-lasting effects on mental health. He also underlined the legal and professional consequences that students may face if they are found guilty of participating in ragging activities.
