The Departments of Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS) and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML), Srinivas Institute of Technology, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Entrepreneurship Development Programme Cell (EDP), organized a session on “Accelerators / Incubation Opportunities” on 14 August 2026.

The session was delivered by Dr. Raghavendra M J, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering. He explained the role of startup incubators and accelerators in supporting innovative ideas and helping students transform them into viable products and businesses. The session covered idea development, mentoring, prototype development, networking, funding opportunities, and startup growth. He also explained how to start a startup, the different stages of startup development, and how a startup operates and grows.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, Srinivas Institute of Technology, and coordinated by the respective department event coordinators. The session concluded with an interaction between the students and the resource person and provided valuable insights into innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
