The Automobile and Aeronautical Association (AMARA), in collaboration with the Alumni Cell, organized a session titled “Alumni Connect: Bridging Campus Learning and Career Opportunities” on 14th August 2026 at 2:00 PM in Room No. 501, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru. The session was organized for final-year students of Automobile and Aeronautical Engineering to provide practical guidance on industry requirements, career opportunities, and higher education.

The resource person, Mr. Kunal Pawar, Project Manager, JRVD DefSpace, Bengaluru, shared his professional experience and discussed the skills required for students to succeed in the engineering industry. He emphasized the importance of developing software skills, particularly CATIA and SolidWorks, along with strong fundamentals and effective communication skills. He also highlighted the importance of patience, adaptability, and the ability to handle pressure in a professional work environment.

The session also covered the importance of higher education and the various job opportunities available to students after completing their engineering degree. Students were encouraged to pursue additional courses and certifications through platforms such as NPTEL and Coursera to strengthen their technical knowledge and improve their career prospects.

The interaction provided students with practical insights into industry expectations and helped them understand the importance of combining strong engineering fundamentals with technical software skills, communication abilities, continuous learning, and professional qualities. The session served as a useful platform for students to interact with an experienced alumnus and gain guidance for their career and higher education planning.

The program was coordinated by Prof. Prakash T and Prof. Jagadeesh B, AMARA Coordinators, along with Prof. Sathyaprakash Anekallu, Alumni Coordinator. The event was successfully conducted with the guidance of Dr. Praveen Shenoy (HOD – AE) and Dr. Sandesh Kumar Rai (HOD – AU) and under the leadership of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, SIT.
