The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Marine Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, in association with the Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC), Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and ASMA, organized an expert interaction programme titled “A Walkthrough to the Industrial Plant Engineering Design” on August 10, 2026, at 3.00 PM in the Seminar Hall, Mechanical Block.

The programme featured Mr. Pushparaaj Shetty, Director – HR and Admin, Nexora Engineering Solutions, and Mr. Mithun Kumar, Technical Director, Nexora Engineering Solutions, as the resource persons. The session was organized with the objective of providing students with practical insights into industrial plant engineering design and exposing them to the professional practices and requirements of the engineering industry.

he programme commenced with Mr. Chetan B, a 7th Semester Mechanical Engineering student, serving as the Master of Ceremony (MC) and welcoming the gathering while coordinating the proceedings. Mr. Amith S V, a 7th Semester Mechanical Engineering student, introduced the resource persons and highlighted their professional expertise and industry experience.

The resource persons interacted with the students and shared valuable insights into industrial plant engineering design, its practical applications, and the relevance of industry-oriented skills for aspiring mechanical engineers. The programme witnessed the active participation of students and faculty members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Marine Engineering.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource persons, institute management, faculty coordinators, students and all those who contributed to the successful conduct of the event.
