The Association of Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science (ASICS) of the Department of CSE and AIML, Srinivas Institute of Technology, inaugurated its activities for the academic year 2026–27 on 29 September 2026 at the Seminar Hall. The programme commenced with an invocation by Mr. Showri Bhat T and Mr. T. Eeshith, third-year students, followed by the Welcome Address by Ms. Lisha N. Shetty, President, ASICS. Mr. T. Eeshith introduced the Chief Guest, Mr. Shashanka K, Senior Software Engineer, Aykansoft. Ms. Ayshathul Suzana then presented the Proposed Action Plan for 2026–27, outlining the activities planned by ASICS for the upcoming academic year. The event was graced by the presence of Prof. Daya Naik, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning; Dr. Shrisha H. S., Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering; and Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D., Principal, Srinivas Institute of Technology.

The programme continued with the introduction of the ASICS office bearers and student coordinators by Prof. Reshma B, Staff Coordinator, ASICS. This was followed by the HOD’s Address by Dr. Shrisha H. S., Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, who welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of active student participation, continuous learning, innovation, and the effective use of emerging technologies in shaping student’s academic and professional growth. Prof. Shana Santhosh, Staff Co-Coordinator, ASICS, announced the Academic Toppers for 2025–26, who were honoured with prizes by the Chief Guest, Mr. Shashanka K. In his address, the Chief Guest highlighted the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence and emphasized the need for students to continuously learn, explore, and make effective use of AI tools in their academic and professional development.

The programme concluded with the Presidential Address delivered by Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D., Principal, Srinivas Institute of Technology, followed by the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Kashmeera K., Secretary, ASICS, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty members, office bearers, student coordinators, and students for their valuable support and participation. The inauguration marked an enthusiastic beginning to the ASICS 2026–27 activities, paving the way for a year of innovation, technological learning, collaboration, and engagement with emerging technologies.
