🌟 Sixth Day of Induction Program – Youth Empowerment and Awareness

The sixth day of the Induction Program was conducted on 3rd September 2026 for the newly admitted first-year students. Similar to the previous day's report format, the sessions were organized in three different slots for Groups 1, 2, and 3 with the objective of Youth Empowerment, Certification Awareness, Engineering and its Future, Drugs Awareness, Mind Control and Long-Term Goals.

The first session was conducted from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. For Group 1, a session on “Youth Empowerment and Skills” was conducted by the Art of Living team in the Seminar Hall. The session focused on empowering students with essential life skills, self-confidence, positive thinking, and the ability to face challenges effectively.

For Group 2, a session on “Certification Awareness” was conducted by Dr. Dheeraj in the College Auditorium. The students were made aware of the importance of professional certifications, skill development, and acquiring additional qualifications to enhance their employability and career opportunities.

Group 3 attended a session on “Engineering and its Future” conducted by Dr. Niranjan in Room No. 501. The session provided students with an understanding of the role of engineering in society and the emerging opportunities and challenges in the future.

During the second session from 11:15 AM to 12:45 PM, Groups 1 and 2 attended a “Drugs Awareness” program conducted by the Police Department in the Auditorium. The event aimed to foster a safe and healthy campus environment under the national campaign #YaARIYouthAgainstRagging.The formal event commenced with a welcome address and the traditional lighting of the lamp. Mrs. Vijaykranthi, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Mangaluru South Sub-Division), graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Alongside her, Mr. Shree Gururaj, Police Inspector (Kankanady Town Police Station), attended as the Guest of Honour. Both officers delivered vital addresses, educating students on the legal frameworks, severe penalties, and psychological impacts associated with ragging and substance abuse.

The programme was presided over by Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D. Coordinated by Dr. Lokesh V and Amitha H, the successful session concluded with a formal vote of thanks.

At the same time, Group 3 participated in a “Youth Empowerment and Skills” session conducted by the Art of Living team in Room No. 501.

The afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM was conducted for all the three groups on the topic “Mind Control and Long-Term Goals” by ISKCON in the College Auditorium.The session was conducted by Dr. sushil Chugh,Professor and HOD,K S Hegde Hospital. The session emphasized the importance of self-control, concentration, disciplined thinking, and setting meaningful long-term goals. Students were encouraged to develop a focused approach towards their academic, personal, and professional lives.

The day concluded successfully with students gaining valuable insights into personal empowerment, career development, the future of engineering, social awareness, self-control, and goal setting. The sessions contributed significantly towards preparing students for a responsible, focused, and successful academic journey.
