🎓 Induction Program – Day 5: Personality Development & Department Visits
The fifth day of the Induction Program was conducted on 7th September 2026 for the newly admitted students. The sessions were organized for Groups 1, 2, and 3, with activities focusing on personality development, responsible citizenship, English language skills, and familiarization with the respective departments.
The morning session for all three groups was conducted from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on the topic “Personality Development” by Mrs. Akshatha Shetty in the Auditorium. The session focused on developing students’ personality and interpersonal abilities as they begin their engineering education. The programme provided students with an opportunity to reflect on the importance of personal development alongside their academic growth.
From 11:15 AM to 12:45 PM, Group 1 attended a session on “Society & Gratitude: Building Responsible Engineers” conducted by Mr. Mithun Raj in the Seminar Hall. The session emphasized the importance of gratitude, social responsibility, and responsible conduct among engineering students. It encouraged students to understand their role in society and the responsibilities associated with becoming future engineers.
During the same session, from 11:15 AM to 12:45 PM, Group 2 participated in a “Basic English” session conducted by Mr. Vivek in the Auditorium. The session focused on strengthening students’ basic English skills, which are important for effective communication in academic and professional environments.
In the afternoon session from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the respective group administrators organized department visits for the students. Students along with the staff in charges visited all the departments and labs. These visits provided students with an opportunity to become familiar with their respective and neighbouring departmental environment and facilities.
The day concluded with students gaining exposure to personality development, social responsibility, gratitude, communication skills, and their respective departments. The activities contributed to creating a positive foundation for students’ academic journey and helped them become better prepared for their engineering education and future professional development.
