SIT Students at ISKCON Youth Festival 2026

As part of the Induction Programme, approximately 450 first-year students of Srinivas Institute of Technology participated in the ISKCON Youth Festival โ€“ Sri Krishna Janmashtami 2026 held at Scouts Bhavan, Pilikula, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru, on 3 September 2026. The festival was organized as a special youth-oriented programme focusing on learning, togetherness, personal development, cultural engagement, and enjoyment.

The students reported near the college bus by 9:15 AM, and the buses departed at 9:30 AM. The students were accompanied and supervised by the designated faculty coordinators. The faculty coordinators for the different buses were Dr. Suryanarayana K. and Prof. Roopashree (Bus 1), Dr. Gopalakrishna Bhat and Prof. Kavana (Bus 2), Prof. Rakesh Mallya and Prof. Amruthalakshmi (Bus 3), Prof. Sathyaprakash and Prof. Ambika (Bus 4), Prof. Gowsphere and Prof. Soujanya (Bus 5), Prof. Prajwal and Dr. Savitha (Bus 6), Prof. Sahana G K, Prof. Ramya N C and Prof. Vathsalya (Bus 7), and Prof. Nivin and Prof. Shilpakala (Bus 8).Overall monitoring is done by Prof. Amitha H. Their guidance ensured the smooth movement, discipline, safety, and participation of the students throughout the programme.

The programme began with fun games and engaging activities from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, including treasure hunts, team challenges, and other interactive activities. These activities encouraged students to develop teamwork, communication, leadership, creativity, and a spirit of cooperation.

A Special Session on Mind Relaxation and Life Skills for Youngsters was conducted from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM. The session focused on managing stress, staying focused, developing a positive attitude, and acquiring useful life skills.

From 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, a Grand Feast was arranged by the organizers. Students and faculty members enjoyed the wholesome meal together, adding to the spirit of togetherness.

The final event was a Live Band Performance, held from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM, which created an energetic and celebratory atmosphere. Students participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the musical programme.

Overall, the ISKCON Youth Festival was a memorable and enriching experience for the first-year students. It provided them with an opportunity to build friendships, strengthen teamwork, develop life skills, and enjoy meaningful activities outside the classroom. The students returned to the college at approximately 4:15 PM, marking the successful completion of the programme.
