MIRAETHON-2K26– AI Meets Business Creativity at the Everest

The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Srinivas Institute of Technology

(SIT), Valachil, Mangalore, organized “MIRAETHON-2K26– AI Meets Business Creativity

at the Everest”, an inter-collegiate mini hackathon for the next-generation visionaries, on 2nd

September 2026 at the SIT, Valachil Campus in physical mode. The event was organized

with the support of the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) and the IEEE Student Branch,

SIT, with the objective of encouraging students to combine artificial intelligence, technology,

innovation, and business creativity to develop practical and impactful solutions.

MIRAETHON-2K26 was designed to provide an inter-collegiate platform for students to

showcase their innovative ideas and develop technology-oriented solutions to real-world

challenges. The event encouraged participants to think creatively, identify relevant problems,

and explore new-age business opportunities through technology and innovation. The event

was conducted under six thematic tracks: Retail & Real Estate, Finance & Investments,

Health & Wellness, Travel & Food, Sports & Fitness, and Music & OTT.

The event received an enthusiastic response from students from different colleges, with a

total of 27 teams submitting their proposed ideas in the form of PowerPoint presentations for

the initial evaluation. Each team consisted of 2 to 4 members, with participation open to

students from different branches of Engineering, MCA, and BCA. The participants were

required to submit their proposals in the prescribed format under any one of the six specified

tracks.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, SIT, and

Prof. Nagaraja Hebbar N, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science.

The event also received guidance and support from Dr. Vinayak Rao, Staff Advisor & IEEE

Execon Member (MSS), SIT; Prof. Sudarshan K, HOD, ISE & IEEE Branch Counsellor, SIT;

and Dr. Umashankar KS, IIC Coordinator, SIT. The event was further supported by the

organizing team, mentors, jury members, student coordinators, sponsors, and advisors
