Scientific Knowledge to Technological Innovation: Building a Self-Reliant India

The Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), in association with the Research and Development (R&D) Cell, organized a celebration activity on "Scientific Knowledge to Technological Innovation: Building a Self-Reliant India" on 28th February 2026 at 11:00 A.M. in the Seminar Hall. The programme was conducted to commemorate National Science Day and to create awareness among students about the crucial role of scientific research and technological innovation in achieving the vision of a self-reliant India.

The session was delivered by Dr. Lokesh K. S., Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS). He highlighted the significance of scientific knowledge as the foundation for technological advancements and emphasized how innovation, research, and entrepreneurship contribute to national development. He also encouraged students to cultivate scientific thinking, pursue innovative ideas, and actively participate in research and startup initiatives that address real-world challenges.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, Dr. Praveen Shenoy, IIC Coordinator, and Dr. Jithendra P. R. Nayak, Event Organizer. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, making the celebration informative and inspiring while reinforcing the importance of science, innovation, and technology in building a self-reliant nation.
