Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru Honoured for Outstanding Cooperation in Anti-Drug Campaign
Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Valachil, Mangaluru, was felicitated by the Dakshina Kannada City Police and the District Administration for its remarkable contribution towards the anti-drug awareness campaign and for facilitating the maximum number of drug tests among educational institutions in Dakshina Kannada district.
The felicitation was presented during the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking – 2026 program organized by the Mangaluru City Police.The event was held on 25 June 2026 at Mangaluru and witnessed the participation of senior police officials, district administration representatives, educational institutions, and members of the public.
Srinivas Institute of Technology received special recognition for its proactive support and cooperation in the district-wide initiative aimed at creating a drug-free educational environment. The institution actively encouraged student participation in awareness activities and facilitated drug testing programs, demonstrating its commitment to the well-being and safety of students.
The award was presented by senior officials of the Dakshina Kannada District Administration and Mangaluru City Police, who appreciated the institution's efforts in supporting law enforcement agencies in combating drug abuse among youth. The recognition highlights the institute's dedication to social responsibility and its continuous efforts to promote awareness regarding the harmful effects of substance abuse.
