Prototype Development and Validation Clinics event was successfully organized on 5th December 2025 under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) in close coordination with the R&D Cell at Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Mangalore. Conceived as a Grand Challenge–based initiative, the mega event witnessed enthusiastic participation from technical students across various engineering streams, who showcased innovative, technology-driven solutions with defined commercial relevance. The program emphasized prototype development, functional validation, and translational potential, enabling students to transform conceptual ideas into working models aligned with real-world needs and market expectations.

The prototype exhibition and validation clinic were rigorously evaluated by a distinguished jury panel comprising domain experts along with the Head of the Institution, adopting well-defined criteria such as novelty, technical soundness, feasibility, and commercialization scope. The success of the session was made possible through the unwavering support and encouragement of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of Srinivas Institute of Technology. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Praveen Shenoy, IIC Coordinator, and Dr. Lokesh K. S., R&D Cell Coordinator. The program was meticulously coordinated by Prof. Jayaram Thumbe, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering. The active participation and collaborative support of all faculty members played a pivotal role in making the event a grand success, significantly strengthening SIT’s innovation ecosystem and reinforcing a culture of research-driven, industry-relevant engineering education.
