The Department of MCA, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized a Poster Presentation of Startups on 20th June at M-402. The event aimed to encourage students to explore innovative thinking, develop entrepreneurial skills, and present creative business ideas that could address real-world challenges. The program commenced with an introductory session led by Ms. Ananya Kedila, Event Coordinator, who welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of startup culture and innovation. She emphasized that startups are not merely about generating ideas but about identifying real-world problems and developing effective solutions. She also encouraged students to think creatively and use entrepreneurship as a means to create a positive impact on society. Furthermore, she explained the significance of the Startup Poster Presentation, where students showcased their innovative startup concepts and their potential contributions toward addressing societal challenges and shaping the future. Dr. Shashidhar Kini K, Head of the Department, addressed the gathering and spoke about the significance of startup poster presentations in fostering innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among students. Furthermore, he highlighted the role of startups in driving social and economic development and motivated students to contribute positively to society through entrepreneurship and innovation.They demonstrated how their proposed solutions could address real-world problems while highlighting the feasibility, sustainability, and potential impact of their startups on society. Following the preparation phase, the students, working in teams of four, presented their startup posters before the faculty members and fellow students. Each team explained its startup idea, the problem it aimed to solve, and its benefits to society.The poster presentation provided an opportunity for students to share their ideas and gain valuable feedback from the audience. The startup posters were evaluated by the faculty members based on the originality of the ideas, their relevance to society, and the overall presentation. Following the evaluation, the winning teams were announced and awarded prizes for their outstanding startup ideas and poster presentations. The event was successfully organized under the valuable guidance and support of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal; Dr. Shashidhar Kini K, Head of the Department of MCA; Dr. Praveen Shenoy K, IIC Coordinator; and Ms. Ananya Kedila, Event Coordinator, whose encouragement and support contributed significantly to the success of the program. The competition received an enthusiastic response from the students, who actively presented their startup ideas through posters. The event provided a valuable platform for students to showcase their creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking.
