The Department of MCA, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized a Start-up Idea Competition on 18th June at M-402. The event aimed to encourage students to explore innovative thinking, develop entrepreneurial skills, and present creative business ideas that could address real-world challenges.

The program commenced with an introductory session led by Prof. Ananya Kedila, the Event Coordinator, who highlighted the significance of entrepreneurship and start-up culture in today's rapidly evolving business environment. She guided the participants on identifying problems, generating innovative solutions, and structuring their ideas into viable business models. Students actively engaged in brainstorming sessions and worked on refining their concepts by considering factors such as innovation, feasibility, sustainability, and market potential.

Following the preparation phase, participating teams presented their start-up proposals before a panel of faculty members and fellow students. Each team showcased its idea by outlining the problem being addressed, the proposed solution, the target audience, the revenue model, and the future growth opportunities. The presentations reflected the students’ creativity, analytical thinking, and understanding of entrepreneurial concepts.

The ideas were assessed on various parameters, including originality, practicality, business viability, and presentation effectiveness. After a thorough evaluation, the most promising start-up ideas were recognized and awarded. The winning teams were congratulated and appreciated for their exceptional efforts and innovative approach.

The event was organized under the valuable guidance and support of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, Dr. Shashidhar Kini K, Head of the Department of MCA, Dr. Praveen Shenoy K, IIC Coordinator, and faculty coordinators Prof. Ananya Kedila and Prof. Anushree.

The competition received an enthusiastic response from the students and provided them with a practical platform to explore entrepreneurship, enhance their presentation skills, and develop problem-solving abilities. The event concluded on a positive note, inspiring participants to pursue innovative ideas and consider entrepreneurship as a potential career path.
