The Departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS), Srinivas Institute of Technology, organized a workshop titled “Prototype Design using AI – Builders Day” on 07th April 2026 in association with STEADY, EDP, and IIC. The program was conducted under the banner of ID8NXT in collaboration with industry partners such as Salesforce, ID8DevHub, and Google Developer Groups, with the objective of empowering students to learn, build, and innovate using Artificial Intelligence technologies.

AI Builders Day is a community-driven initiative designed to promote hands-on learning and practical exposure to emerging AI tools, platforms, and development frameworks. The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application by engaging participants in guided sessions focused on AI model development, workflow exploration, and prototype design.

During the session, students were provided with an overview of current AI trends, industry tools, and career opportunities in the technology sector. The lab sessions enabled participants to experiment with AI models and applications, helping them understand data processing, model implementation, and deployment concepts. Students from the 4th and 6th semesters actively participated in the program, demonstrating keen interest in practical AI development. The event was conducted with the support and coordination of Mr. Shailesh Shetty S, Head of the CSBS Department.

The workshop successfully enhanced students’ practical skills in Artificial Intelligence and prototype development. Participants gained hands-on experience in building basic AI-driven solutions, thereby strengthening their analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and technical confidence. The event fostered innovation-oriented learning and encouraged students to explore interdisciplinary applications of AI in engineering and business domains
