On 17th February 2026, Department of AIML under NSS Unit of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru organized a Plantation Drive at 12:30 PM under the theme “Green Campus, Colourful Future” within the campus premises.

Saplings were planted near the garden area, on the ground, and in front of departments using pots to promote greenery and environmental awareness.

The event was carried out with the kind guidance and support of Dr. Suryanarayana K (HOD, Physics Department), who graciously permitted and motivated the students, and with the encouragement of Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D.

The programme was further supported by the presence of HOD Daya Naik , Parvathraj KMM (Faculty), Department NSS Coordinator Madhusudan Sir, and other respected faculty members.

The enthusiastic participation of NSS volunteers made the event meaningful and successful, highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and social responsibility.
