The Department of MBA, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized an insightful session on “Innovation, Protection & Sustainability: IPR Strategies for Startups in the SDG Era” on 13th April 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Seminar Hall of Srinivas Institute of Technology.The session was delivered by Dr. Suchetha Kumari N, Director R&D (Health Science), Srinivas University, who served as the Resource Person. She shared her extensive knowledge on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and emphasized their importance for startups, especially in aligning innovation with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The session began with a brief introduction and welcome of the resource person. Dr. Suchetha Kumari elaborated on various aspects of IPR, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and their role in protecting innovative ideas. She also highlighted strategies that startups can adopt to safeguard their innovations while ensuring sustainability and ethical practices.The session was highly interactive, with students actively participating and raising questions regarding real-world applications of IPR in business. The speaker provided practical insights and examples, making the session informative and engaging.
