The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering club TECHBOTS-SIT organized “Techbots Open Day” on December 5, 2025. The event showcased a variety of innovative projects developed by the club members, highlighting their technical creativity and hands-on engineering skills. The Open Day was inaugurated by Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, Srinivas Institute of Technology. The Club President, Mr. Mohammad Safwan, explained the working and objectives of the displayed projects to the Principal and other dignitaries. In his address, the Principal congratulated the students for their efforts in developing functional prototypes and encouraged them to continue innovating.

Several prototypes were exhibited during the event, including a Line Follower Robot, Robo Soccer, Snake Game, Assistive Stitching Device for the Visually Impaired, Robot for Picking and Carrying Tools, and a Prototype to Assist Fishermen in Deep-Sea Operations, among others. These projects demonstrated the students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world engineering problems.

The primary objective of the Techbots Open Day was to provide a platform for students to showcase their innovative projects and enhance experiential learning through practical implementation. The event also aimed to foster creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills among students by encouraging them to develop solutions addressing societal and industrial needs.

The Open Day successfully motivated students to engage in hands-on learning and innovation while improving their technical presentation and communication skills. It also strengthened industry-academia interaction and inspired junior students to actively participate in club activities and future technical projects.

The event was graced by Mr. Adithya Poonja, Mentor and External Expert, whose presence added value through technical guidance and encouragement. Mr. Shailesh Shetty and Dr. Soorya Krishna K were also present during the inauguration, supporting and motivating the students throughout the event.
