VALEDICTORY FUNCTION OF AICET ATAL -EDUSKILLS FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM ON ETHICAL HACKING
The Valedictory Function of the AICTE ATAL – EduSkills Faculty Development Program
(FDP) on Ethical Hacking was held successfully on 20th December 2025 at Srinivas Institute of
Technology, Mangaluru, marking the formal conclusion of the six-day FDP conducted from 15th December 2025 to 20th December 2025. The FDP was jointly organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (AI-DS), the Department of Information Science & Engineering (IS&E), and the Department of Computer Science and Design (CS&D), in association with AICTE ATAL and EduSkills.
The FDP featured expert sessions conducted by Mr. K. Bala Sai Kumar, Assistant Manager –
Learning & Development, EduSkills, who served as the primary Resource Person. The sessions provided in-depth coverage of ethical hacking fundamentals, cybersecurity concepts, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing methodologies, and hands-on training using tools such as Kali Linux and industry-standard penetration testing frameworks. The valedictory session offered an opportunity to reflect on the learning outcomes and overall
impact of the FDP. The program emphasized ethical practices in cybersecurity education and the importance of aligning academic expertise with current industry standards and emerging security challenges. Participants expressed highly positive feedback, appreciating the practical
orientation of the sessions, clarity of explanations, and the relevance of the hands-on training to real-world cybersecurity scenarios. Many participants highlighted that the FDP significantly
enhanced their confidence and capability to teach ethical hacking concepts effectively.
The valedictory function was graced by Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, Srinivas Institute of
Technology, who commended the active participation and dedication of the faculty members
throughout the FDP. In his address, he encouraged participants to apply the acquired knowledge in teaching, research, and student mentoring to strengthen cybersecurity education.
The successful conduct of the FDP was made possible through the continuous support of the
institution’s management and the committed efforts of the organizing team. The program benefited from the effective leadership and coordination of the Conveners of the FDP, Prof. Sudarshan K, Head of the Department of Information Science & Engineering and Computer Science & Design, and Prof. Nagaraja Hebbar N, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, whose guidance ensured the smooth execution of all FDP activities.
