The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) of Srinivas Institute of Technology, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized an “Inception: Idea Validation Workshop” on 10th February 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Seminar Hall.

Prior to the workshop, students were assigned the task of developing innovative solutions to real-world problems. The session began with a welcome address by Ms. Ganavi M, followed by the introduction of the resource person, Mr. Vivek Vijay Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Marine Engineering. He delivered an engaging session on design thinking, focusing on creativity, innovation, and structured problem-solving approaches.

During the workshop, a total of 12 student-developed ideas were presented. All ideas were reviewed and validated by the resource person through expert feedback and interactive discussion, and 6 promising ideas were shortlisted for further prototyping.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Amrutha, 6th Semester AIML, followed by the presentation of a token of appreciation to the resource person.
