WORKSHOP ON AI AND INDUSTRY 4.0 TOOLS FOR INNOVATORS AND ENTREPRENEURS

The Department of Computer Science and Business System (CSBS) and the Department

of Master of Computer Applications (MCA), in association with the Institution’s

Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized a Workshop on “AI and Industry 4.0

Tools for Innovators and Entrepreneurs” on 28th November 2025 at SSOSC Lab,

Srinivas Institute of Technology.

The workshop was conducted by Mr. Shah Qasim Usmani, Assistant Professor, Regional

Institute of Education (RIE), Mysuru. The session was aimed at introducing students to the

concepts of Artificial Intelligence and Industry 4.0 technologies and highlighting their

significance in innovation-driven entrepreneurship and modern industry practices.

The session commenced with an overview of Industry 4.0, focusing on the evolution of smart

technologies, automation, and digital transformation. Mr. Shah Qasim Usmani explained the

role of AI tools in areas such as data-driven decision-making, intelligent systems, startup

innovation, and business process optimization. The theoretical concepts were supported with

real-world examples, enabling participants to understand the practical relevance of AI in

entrepreneurial and industrial contexts.

The workshop also emphasized how emerging technologies can be leveraged by innovators

and aspiring entrepreneurs to develop scalable solutions and competitive products. The

interactive discussions encouraged students to explore innovation opportunities, startup

ecosystems, and technology-driven problem-solving approaches.

By the end of the workshop, participants gained a clear understanding of AI and Industry 4.0

tools, their applications in innovation and entrepreneurship, and the skills required to adapt to

rapidly evolving technological landscapes. The session successfully motivated students to

think creatively and explore technology-enabled entrepreneurial ventures.

The workshop was well received by the participants, who appreciated the structured delivery,

engaging interaction, and practical insights shared during the session. Overall, the event

contributed significantly to fostering an innovation and entrepreneurship culture on campus,

aligning with the objectives of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).
