The Department of Computer Science and Business System at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, organized a Quiz Competition on Maharshi Valmiki Jayanthi on October 7th, 2025, under the National Service Scheme (NSS).

The event aimed to honor the teachings and contributions of Maharshi Valmiki, the revered sage and author of the Ramayana, while fostering cultural awareness and intellectual engagement among students.

The primary objectives of the event were:

• To commemorate the birth anniversary of Maharshi Valmiki and spread awareness about his contributions to Indian literature and philosophy.

• To promote knowledge, teamwork, and enthusiasm through a quiz competition based on cultural and literary heritage.

• To engage students in learning beyond academics by participating in value-based and knowledge-driven activities.

The event was coordinated by Prof. Shailesh Shetty S, HOD–CSBS, and Prof. Rakesh Mallya, NSS Coordinator, under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, Srinivas Institute of Technology.
