On September 16, 2025, under the Institute’s Innovation Cell (IIC), the Departments of Information Science and Engineering (ISE) and Computer Science and Design (CSD), in association with the Association of Information Science and Engineering (AISE) and the Association of Computer Science and Design Engineering (ACODE), jointly organized an insightful session for final-year students. The guest speakers, Mr. Dheeraj K. Antony and Mr. Thimmaiah from IDP, Mangalore, delivered an engaging talk on “Higher Education Opportunities Abroad.”

During the session, Mr. Dheeraj interacted with the students, addressing their aspirations to pursue higher education overseas. He elaborated on the wide-ranging advantages of studying at internationally reputed universities, particularly in English-speaking countries, which offer global exposure, advanced learning environments, and enhanced career opportunities.

Mr. Thimmaiah emphasized the importance of the IELTS examination as a key requirement for international admissions. Furthermore, he provided insights into various scholarship opportunities available for meritorious students and explained how part-time work options abroad can help them manage their living and educational expenses.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from around 50 students from both departments, who engaged actively in the interactive session. Many attendees expressed that the talk motivated them to explore global education pathways with renewed confidence and vision.

The event was supported by Prof. Sudarshan K., Head of the Departments of ISE and CSD. The session was coordinated by Ms. Aparna N., Faculty Coordinator, under the guidance of Prof. Sowmya, Staff Advisor, AISE, and Prof. Archana D., Staff Advisor, ACODE. Their mentorship and encouragement contributed significantly to the academic depth and overall success of the session.

The talk proved to be a highly informative and inspiring experience, broadening students’ perspectives on international education and encouraging them to embrace innovation and global learning opportunities.
