The Department of Computer Science and Engineering successfully organized a Hands-on Workshop on “GitHub Essentials: From Code to Collaboration” for the 3rd Semester CSE students on 25th September 2026. Prof. Alwyn Edison Mendonca, Assistant Professor, Department of CSE, served as the Resource Person and provided valuable insights into GitHub, version control, and collaborative software development. More than 50 students participated in the workshop. The session provided students with practical exposure to GitHub repositories, commits, branches, code management, and collaborative development workflows, helping them strengthen their technical skills and understand the importance of version control in modern software development. The event was coordinated by Prof. Spoorthi B, Coordinator, ASCEE, with the valuable support of Dr. Shrisha H. S., Head of the Department, CSE.Under the esteemed guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D., Principal, the workshop served as a valuable academic enrichment initiative, providing students with hands-on experience in GitHub and collaborative software development practices and familiarizing them with industry-relevant tools and workflows.
