Design Thinking, Critical Thinking and Innovation Design
The Department of Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS), in association with the Institution's Innovation Cell (IIC) and Startup and Incubation Cell, organized a Virtual Workshop on "Design Thinking, Critical Thinking & Innovation Design" on 23rd February 2026..
The workshop was conducted by Mr. Sudharma, CTO, Skill Sync. The session introduced students to the concepts of design thinking, critical thinking, and innovation. Students learned how to identify real-world problems, generate creative ideas, and develop innovative solutions using the Design Thinking process.
The resource person explained the five stages of Design Thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. The session was interactive, with discussions and examples that helped students understand how to apply these concepts in projects and startup ideas.
On 24th February 2026, the participating teams presented their project ideas and prototypes for Technology Readiness Level (TRL) evaluation. Based on the innovation, feasibility, prototype quality, and presentation, two teams were shortlisted for further mentoring and incubation support. The shortlisted projects were uploaded to the Yukti Innovation Repository for documentation and consideration under the institution's innovation and startup initiatives.
After the evaluation, two teams were shortlisted based on their innovation, technical feasibility, presentation, and prototype quality. The selected teams will receive further mentoring and support to improve their projects and participate in future innovation and startup activities.
The workshop and evaluation were successfully conducted with active participation from students. The event helped students improve their creativity, problem-solving ability, teamwork, and innovation skills while encouraging them to develop practical solutions for real-world challenges.
