The Department of Marine Engineering, in association with the Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) and AIMES, organized a webinar on “Catch-Up Sessions: Where Experience Meets Fresher Perspective” on 16th May 2026. The session was delivered by Miss Gangothri, alumna of Srinivas Institute of Technology and Technical Executive at Synergy Group.

During the session, she shared valuable insights on the marine industry, management practices, and career opportunities for aspiring marine professionals. She emphasized the importance of combining practical experience with fresh perspectives and highlighted the skills required to succeed in the maritime sector. The interactive session helped students gain a better understanding of industry expectations and professional growth opportunities.

The webinar was coordinated by Prof. Nithin Joshuva with support from AIMES members and student coordinator Mr. Prasanna. Dr. Lokesh V, Head of Marine Engineering, Prof. Vivek V Kumar, AIMES Coordinator, Prof. Shailesh Shetty, IIIC Coordinator, and Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, guided the successful conduct of the webinar.
