Mechanical Farewell and ASMA Valedictory Function
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, organized the “Farewell & Valedictory Function” of the All Students Mechanical Association (ASMA) activities on 21st May 2026 at 9:30 AM in the Seminar Hall. The event was conducted to bid a warm farewell to the outgoing students and to mark the successful completion of the ASMA activities for the academic year.
The program commenced with a warm welcome to the gathering by the ASMA President, Mr. Shahaan of 8th Semester Mechanical Engineering. The event was presided over by Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of the institution. The function was also graced by Dr. Shankar K S, HoD of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof. Sandesh K S, ASMA Faculty Coordinator, Mr. Shahajan H, ASMA President, and Mr. Hridhik Prasad, ASMA Secretary.
During the valedictory session, the President of the function and the Principal, in his presidential address, appreciated the efforts and achievements of the students throughout the year. He motivated the outgoing students to pursue their future careers with dedication, confidence, and professionalism. He also emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adapting to emerging technologies in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
Dr. Shankar K S, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, addressed the gathering and appreciated the sincere efforts of the ASMA office bearers and students in organizing various academic and co-curricular activities throughout the year. He congratulated the outgoing students for successfully completing their academic journey and encouraged them to uphold the values of discipline, hard work, and innovation in their professional careers.
Prof. Sandesh K S, ASMA Faculty Coordinator, presented the annual report of ASMA activities for the academic year 2025–26.
The farewell program included sharing of memories, student interactions, and expressions of gratitude towards the department and faculty members. The outgoing students expressed their heartfelt thanks to the management, faculty members, and juniors for their support and for the memorable experiences during their academic journey.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Hridhik Prasad, ASMA Secretary. The farewell function was a memorable and emotional occasion that strengthened the bond between students and faculty members while celebrating the successful completion of ASMA activities.
The Master of Ceremony (MC) for the event was Mr. Manvith of 4th Semester, who skillfully conducted the program and ensured its smooth flow throughout the function.
