Road Safety Awareness Programme
Promoting safety on roads is a responsibility we all share. On 02 May 2026, the AIML Department NSS Unit of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru conducted a Road Safety Awareness Programme to encourage responsible behavior among students and the public.
The initiative focused on spreading key safety practices such as wearing helmets and seatbelts, avoiding over-speeding, following traffic signals, and staying attentive while driving. Through this activity, NSS volunteers highlighted how simple actions can prevent accidents and save lives.
Students actively participated and contributed to raising awareness, reflecting a strong commitment towards building a safer and more responsible society.
The programme was carried out under the guidance of Prof. Madhusudhan S (NSS Staff Coordinator) and Prof. Rakesh Mallya (NSS Coordinator), with the support of Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D and HOD Prof. Daya Naik.
The initiative served as a reminder that road safety is not just a rule, but a shared responsibility.
