On 30 April 2026, the NSS Unit of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, organized a Labour’s Day awareness talk along with a gratitude initiative for campus support staff.

The session highlighted the importance of workers and the dignity of labour through discussions and posters, encouraging students to value hard work and responsibility.

As part of the initiative, students expressed their appreciation towards the cleaning staff through simple gestures, recognizing their contribution in maintaining a clean and healthy campus environment.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Madhusudhan S (NSS Coordinator) and supported by Prof. Rakesh Mallya (NSS Coordinator), Principal Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, and HOD Prof. Daya Naik.

The activity fostered respect, empathy, and a sense of social responsibility among students.
