Technology Leadership and Startup Strategy Challenge

The Department of MCA in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, organized an Innovation Activity on “Technology Leadership and Startup Strategy Challenge” on 20th February 2026 at the Seminar Hall from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

The objective of the activity was to encourage students to develop leadership qualities, entrepreneurial thinking, and strategic decision-making skills in the field of technology and startups. The event aimed to expose students to the practical aspects of managing technology-driven projects and developing innovative startup ideas.

During the session, participants were presented with problem-based scenarios related to technology management and startup strategy. The students were required to analyze the given situations and propose innovative solutions by applying their knowledge of technology trends, management strategies, and problem-solving techniques. The activity involved multiple rounds that evaluated the participants’ analytical ability, communication skills, leadership qualities, and decision-making capabilities.

The challenge provided students with an opportunity to simulate the role of technology leaders and startup strategists, enabling them to understand how innovative ideas can be transformed into feasible technological solutions. The activity also helped students develop important professional skills such as team coordination, strategic planning, and effective presentation of ideas.The event was successfully coordinated by Prof. Swapnil Pai (Department IIC Coordinator) along with Dr. Praveen Shenoy K (IIC Coordinator) and the support of faculty members of the Department of MCA.

The students actively participated in the activity and appreciated the opportunity to enhance their entrepreneurial mindset and leadership skills in the context of technology innovation. The event successfully promoted innovation, strategic thinking, and leadership development, aligning with the objectives of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).

The program concluded with appreciation for all participants and organizers for making the event successful. The activity effectively encouraged students to explore technology leadership and innovative startup strategies, thereby strengthening their understanding of innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
