The Department of MCA in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, organized a “Digital Innovation & Web Solution Prototyping Challenge” on 20th February 2026 at the Ethnotech Lab from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The objective of the event was to encourage students to develop innovative digital solutions and prototype web-based applications to address real-world problems. The activity aimed to enhance students’ creative thinking, web development skills, and problem-solving abilities, while promoting innovation and practical learning in the field of digital technologies.

During the event, participants worked in teams to design and develop prototype web solutions based on given problem statements. The challenge required students to apply their knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build functional and user-friendly web interfaces within a limited time. The theme and specific tasks were introduced at the beginning of the session, encouraging participants to quickly analyze the problem and design suitable digital solutions.The event provided an excellent platform for students to showcase their technical creativity and digital innovation skills. Such activities align with the objectives of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) in promoting innovation-driven learning and encouraging students to develop technology-based solutions.

The event was successfully coordinated by Prof. Swapnil Pai (Department IIC Coordinator) along with Dr. Praveen Shenoy K (IIC Coordinator) and the support of faculty members of the Department of MCA.

The students actively participated in the challenge and appreciated the opportunity to explore web development and innovative digital solution design in a collaborative environment. The activity successfully enhanced students’ technical competence, creativity, and innovation mindset.

The program concluded with appreciation for all participants and organizers who contributed to the success of the event. The activity effectively encouraged students to develop digital innovation skills and practical web solution prototyping abilities.
