The Women Cell of Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Mangalore organized a Women’s Day Celebration on 09 March 2026 in the Seminar Hall, SIT. The program began with an invocation and a Welcome Address by Prof. Daya Naik, Head, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Ar. Sangeeta S., Assistant Professor, Srinivas School of Architecture, introduced the Chief Guest, Mrs. Geetha R. Shetty, Founder of Seva Bhava Charitable Trust, Mangalore. Dr. Veena Santhosh Rai, Coordinator of the Women Cell, presented the Women Cell Activity Report. The Chief Guest delivered an inspiring talk on the theme “Service, Sacrifice and Success: The Spirit of Womanhood,” followed by prize distribution for the competition “Because of Her: A Gratitude Message Competition” and felicitation of support staff. The program was presided over by Dr. Shankar K. S., Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Prof. Shilpakala, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics.
