The Innovation Launchpad – Pitch • Validate • Innovate program was successfully organized by the Department of Computer Science & Design (CSD) and the Department of Information Science & Engineering (ISE) in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru. The event was conducted on 28 January 2026 from 11:10 AM to 01:00 PM at Room No. 406.

The primary objective of the program was to provide a structured platform for students to present their project synopses, encourage innovative thinking, and validate ideas through expert feedback. The activity aimed to promote creativity, problem-solving skills, and innovation-driven learning in alignment with the objectives of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).

The program was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, with academic support from Prof. Sudarshan K, HOD – ISE & CSD, and coordination by Dr. Praveen Shenoy, IIC Coordinator. The event was further supported by Prof. Athmaranjan K (ISE – Project Coordinator), Prof. Sahana B (CSD – Project Coordinator), Prof. Sowmya (AISE Advisor), Prof. Archana D (ACODE Advisor), and Prof. Aparna N (Staff Coordinator).

Students from the Departments of CSD and ISE actively participated by presenting their project synopses. Each presentation covered the problem statement, objectives, proposed solution, methodology, and expected outcomes, with emphasis on innovation, feasibility, and real-world relevance.

Faculty members evaluated the presentations and provided constructive feedback to help students refine and validate their ideas. The interactive sessions enhanced students’ confidence, presentation skills, and critical thinking abilities.

The Innovation Launchpad program successfully achieved its objectives by fostering an innovation-oriented mindset among students. Conducted as an IIC activity, the event bridged academic learning with practical applications and contributed to nurturing student innovation.
