On January 24, 2026, under the Institute Innovation Cell (IIC) and the Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) Cell, in association with the Department of Information Science and Engineering (ISE) and the Department of Computer Science and Design (CSD), Srinivas Institute of Technology organized an expert talk titled “Industry Hierarchy and Career Pathways: From Engineer to CEO.”

The session was delivered by Mrs. Archana D, Team Lead and Ex-Employee of Accenture, for the students of the ISE and CSD departments. The talk aimed to give students a realistic understanding of how the industry functions and how engineers can gradually grow into leadership roles through the right combination of skills, experience, and mindset.

Mrs. Archana D shared her industry experience and explained the different levels in corporate hierarchy, highlighting the roles, responsibilities, and expectations at each stage. She emphasized the importance of strong technical fundamentals, continuous upskilling, effective communication, leadership qualities, and adaptability in achieving long-term career growth. The session also provided clarity on how young engineers can plan their career paths strategically and prepare themselves for higher managerial and executive roles.

The interaction encouraged students to think beyond their current academic phase and develop a broader vision for their professional future. The speaker also stressed the significance of professional ethics, teamwork, discipline, and a positive attitude, reminding students that success in the industry is shaped not only by technical expertise but also by personal values and behaviour.

The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where students actively participated and clarified their doubts regarding career progression and leadership opportunities.
