On 17th September 2025, the Department of MBA, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, under the “FINNOVA” Finance Club organized an academic activity titled “Finance in Practice”. The visit was conducted at A Umanath Rao & Co.

The objective of this activity was to bridge the gap between theoretical finance concepts and real-world application by exposing students to practical auditing and taxation practices. It aimed to help students understand compliance requirements, financial reporting, and taxation procedures.

The strategy involved organizing a structured visit where students observed auditing and taxation processes and interacted with professionals. Students were guided during the session and later prepared reports with key observations and insights. The learning outcomes included gaining exposure to real-world auditing and taxation workflows, understanding compliance requirements, and identifying gaps between theory and practice. Students also developed insights into applying classroom knowledge in a professional setting.
