Approval of MSME Host Institution Status for Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangalore
Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT), Mangalore has been officially approved as an MSME Host Institution (HI) by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the institution in promoting innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship.
As part of the approval process, an inspection was conducted on 23/10/2025 by Mrs. Suma from the MSME Mangalore office. The institution demonstrated its incubation facilities, entrepreneurship development activities, and readiness to support startups. In addition, several documents were uploaded and submitted through the MSME online portal for verification. After a detailed review, SIT Mangalore received formal recognition as an approved MSME Host Institution.
This success was made possible through the committed efforts of Mr. Shailesh Shetty S, who was instrumental in driving the entire process, and Dr. Soorya Krishna K, who played a key role in preparing and submitting the required documentation. At this juncture, the institution extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Shrinivas Mayya D for his guidance, support, and encouragement throughout this initiative.
Becoming an MSME Host Institution provides SIT Mangalore with multiple advantages, including eligibility for financial assistance to support incubation and prototype development, enhanced recognition and credibility as a government-approved centre, and the opportunity to provide mentoring, funding, and infrastructure support to students, faculty, and local entrepreneurs.
