On August 20, 2025, the Department of Computer Science and Business Systems (CSBS) of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a talk on “Angel Investments and VC Funding Opportunities.”

The session was conducted under the guidance guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, and Mr. Shailesh Shetty S, Head of the Department, CSBS. The session was delivered by Prof. Rashmi, Assistant Professor, Department of MBA, SIT. She provided valuable insights into how angel investors and venture capitalists play a crucial role in supporting startups and innovative business ideas. The talk highlighted the importance of funding opportunities available for entrepreneurs, the stages of investment, and the factors investors consider before funding a business venture.

The resource person emphasized the differences between angel investments and venture capital, the potential risks and rewards for both entrepreneurs and investors, and how budding innovators can approach such funding opportunities. The interactive session encouraged participants to think about scalability, innovation, and sustainability while developing their business models.

The program concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where students clarified their doubts and gained practical knowledge on preparing for investment opportunities.
