The SIT Startup Cell organized the MSME Idea Hackathon 5.0 on 19/08/2025. A total of 49 innovative ideas were submitted through the SIT Dashboard portal. For evaluation, the submissions were categorized into five themes: Low Carbon, Innovation in Adaptation of Industry 4.0, Innovation in Coastal and Hilly Areas, Smart and Resilient Solutions, and Stealth and Cyber Defense.

Around 40 teams presented their ideas before a panel of industry and academia experts. From these, the best 18 teams were shortlisted for the next round. The students showcased a wide range of innovative and practical solutions, which impressed and inspired the judges. The event was successfully coordinated by Prof. Shailesh Shetty.
