The Department of MCA, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Yukti Cell, organized a Start-up Idea Competition on 21st and 22nd August 2025 at M-402. The two-day event served as a platform for students to showcase their creativity and entrepreneurial thinking by developing innovative start-up ideas.
Day 1 – 21st August 2025
On the first day, Prof. Swapnil Pai (Event Coordinator) briefed the participants on the importance of start-ups and shared guidelines on how to conceptualize and structure their ideas effectively. Students were given time to brainstorm, refine, and prepare their start-up ideas, focusing on innovation, feasibility, and market applicability.
Day 2 – 22nd August 2025
The second day featured presentations by the student teams, where they pitched their start-up ideas in front of faculty evaluators and peers. Each team explained their problem statement, innovative solution, business model, and scalability aspects. The presentations were then evaluated based on creativity, practicality, and entrepreneurial value. At the end of the session, the best teams were announced as winners and appreciated for their efforts.
The competition was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D (Principal), Dr. Shashidhar Kini K (HOD, MCA), Dr. Praveen Shenoy K (IIC Coordinator), and Prof. Swapnil Pai (Event Coordinator).
