Panel Discussion on Ecosystem Enablers: Unlocking Startup Growth and Success

The Departments of MCA, MBA, CSBS, and ECE of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Startup and Incubation Cell, organized a Panel Discussion on “Ecosystem Enablers: Unlocking Startup Growth and Success” on 25th August 2025. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, SIT, with the support of the respective Heads of Departments, the coordination of Dr. Praveen Shenoy, IIC Coordinator, and the dedicated efforts of the department coordinators.

The panel featured eminent speakers – Prof. Sathyaprakash A (Co-founder, SIYO Liquid Detergent – SLIDE), Dr. Soorya Krishna K (Director, Samyak Tech), and Prof. Madhusudhan S (Director, IRIS Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd.) – and was moderated by Mr. Vivek V Kumar, Assistant Professor, SIT. The panelists shared their entrepreneurial journeys, explaining how they started their ventures, the challenges they faced in scaling, and the strategies required to start new ones. They emphasized that mistakes are not failures but stepping stones to success, and highlighted the significance of mentorship, networking, marketing, and funding strategies such as bootstrapping and incubation support in building successful startups.

The discussion was highly enthusiastic and interactive, keeping students engaged throughout. The audience was excited to hear the answers and rapid-fire insights from the panelists, which touched on balancing profit and purpose, team building, client relationships, and risk-taking as a growth driver. The session proved to be enriching and inspirational, equipping students with practical knowledge, success mantras, and confidence to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship. The collective guidance of the Principal, support of the HODs, coordination of Dr. Praveen Shenoy, and efforts of the department coordinators were instrumental in making the event a grand success.
