The Department of Computer Science and Business Systems of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Yukti Cell, organized an Intra Business Plan Competition – “Idea Pitch 2.O” on 21st and 25th August 2025. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, SIT, with the support of Mr. Shailesh Shetty S, Head of the Department, CSBS, and the coordination of the IIC and Yukti Cell.

The competition provided a platform for students to pitch innovative business ideas addressing real-world challenges, particularly with a focus on technology-driven and rural-centric solutions. Participants presented a wide range of creative ideas, including speech-to-text solutions, social media management platforms, Grameen GreenAI initiatives, AI-based therapy solutions for rural areas, and smart shopping applications designed for rural communities. Each group explained their ideas with confidence, covering aspects such as problem identification, innovation, market potential, scalability, and sustainability.

The event showcased the entrepreneurial mindset of the students, encouraging them to think critically about transforming innovative concepts into viable business models. After evaluation by the judges, the most promising business ideas were selected based on creativity, feasibility, clarity of presentation, and potential impact. The session proved to be highly engaging and motivational, instilling entrepreneurial confidence among students and inspiring them to pursue innovation as a path to societal and economic growth.
