The Department of Computer Science and Business Systems of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Yukti Cell, organized a Poster Making Competition titled “Poster Preneurs: The Next Chapter” on 21st and 25th August 2025 The session was conducted under the guidance guidance of Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal, and Mr. Shailesh Shetty S, Head of the Department, CSBS.

The competition was based on the theme “Business in Rural Areas”, encouraging students to design innovative entrepreneurial solutions to support rural development. Participants presented a wide range of creative and practical ideas such as AI-powered chatbots, Mithra Home for smart assistance, voice and gesture-controlled devices, digital platforms for crop selling, Speak-to-Fill solutions, innovative dairy products and value-added agricultural products. Each group explained their posters enthusiastically, highlighting implementation strategies and the potential to improve rural livelihoods.

The event witnessed many impactful presentations, and the best two posters were selected based on creativity, feasibility, clarity, and presentation skills. The competition was lively and engaging, leaving students motivated to think critically and innovatively about entrepreneurship and its role in empowering rural communities.
