Sustainability and Innovation: Alumni Insights on Innovation and Sustainable Growth
The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) in association with the Alumni Cell of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, organized an expert talk on “Sustainability and Innovation: Alumni Insights on Innovation and Sustainable Growth” on 26th August 2025. The session was delivered by Mr. Dhanush M S, Founder of Avani Ventures, Bangalore, and Co-founder of Mangala Recycler, who is also an alumnus of the Department of Information Science and Engineering, SIT.
In his talk, Mr. Dhanush shared thought-provoking insights on how innovation and sustainability go hand in hand in addressing today’s environmental and social challenges. He emphasized the importance of responsible entrepreneurship, where economic progress is aligned with ecological balance and community well-being. Drawing from his own entrepreneurial journey, he encouraged students to think innovatively, act responsibly, and contribute towards building a sustainable future. His inspiring words motivated participants to reimagine their career paths with a focus on service, values, and long-term impact.
The session received active participation from students, who appreciated the opportunity to learn from a successful alumnus working at the intersection of innovation and sustainability. It served as both a learning experience and a source of inspiration for those aspiring to pursue impactful careers.
