The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru, in association with IEEE Bangalore Section and IEEE Mangalore Subsection, proudly organized an inspiring event “INNO IDEA 2025 – A Step to Start-up” on 23rd August 2025 at 9:00 AM in Venue 103 & 104.

This program was envisioned to encourage students to think innovatively and nurture entrepreneurial skills, thereby laying the foundation for future start-ups. Accredited with a prestigious NAAC ‘A’ Grade, the institution continues to foster an ecosystem of innovation, and this event served as a step toward empowering young innovators.

The event was presided over by Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D, Principal of SIT, under whose guidance the institute has always prioritized innovation-driven education. Dr. Suresha D, Head of CSE Department, extended his support and encouragement for this initiative. The program was coordinated by Dr. Praveen Shenoy (IIC Coordinator), Dr. Jitendra P R Nayak (Dept. IIC Coordinator), Mrs. Deepthi D’Souza (Dept. Project & Event Coordinator), and Ms. Harishma K, Innovation Ambassador, whose collaborative efforts ensured the smooth execution of the event.

The central focus of INNO IDEA 2025 was to provide students with a platform to present their innovative ideas and explore the possibilities of converting them into successful start-ups. The event featured sessions on ideation, innovation culture, and the entrepreneurial journey. Students were encouraged to present problem-driven ideas, brainstorm possible solutions, and pitch their concepts with clarity and confidence.

Throughout the event, students displayed remarkable creativity and forward-thinking approaches in addressing real-world challenges through their ideas. Their participation reflected enthusiasm, problem-solving ability, and entrepreneurial potential. The evaluators appreciated the innovative spirit and encouraged students to take the next steps toward pre-incubation and prototype development.

The event concluded with recognition of participants and an inspiring message from the dignitaries, highlighting the importance of innovation as a driver of societal growth and technological advancement. The promising ideas were recommended for further incubation support under IIC-SIT.
