Workshop on Funding Opportunity for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs

The workshop on Empowering Creativity and Progress Through Resources was held on 20th August 2025, organized by Preethika Pramod of 5th semester AI&DS in collaboration with the Departments of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI&DS) in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council(IIC). The resource person for the workshop was Dr.Vinayak Rao, Professor of Artificial Intelligence And Data Science.

The aim of the workshop titled "Funding Opportunity for Early-Stage Entrepreneurs" for engineering students, particularly those in 5th Sem AI&DS department. This workshop provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of funding opportunities available for early-stage entrepreneurs. It equips aspiring startup founders with the knowledge to identify and approach various funding sources, including angel investors, venture capital firms, government grants, and startup competitions. Participants will also learn how to develop investor-ready business plans, craft compelling pitches, and navigate the fundraising process effectively. Through interactive sessions and real-world examples, the workshop aims to empower entrepreneurs to secure financial support, build sustainable ventures, and accelerate the growth of their innovative ideas.

The program was supported by our esteemed Principal, Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya D and was successfully initiated and completed with efforts of Prof.Nagaraja Hebbar, Head of the Al&DS, Prof.Ganapathi Sharma, Department IIC Co-ordinator. The event was coordinated by Prof. Ajay Pinto, Association Coordinator and Technical Coordinator.
