The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, in association with STEADY and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized an event titled “Mind Sparks – The Power of Electronics and Inspired Thinking” on 19th September 202. The objective of the event was to encourage students to improve their language proficiency, logical thinking, debating skills, and overall confidence.

The competition was held in two rounds. The first round was a Written Spelling Bee, where participants demonstrated their vocabulary knowledge, spelling accuracy, and quick thinking. The second round was a Debate, which provided students an opportunity to express their views on thought-provoking topics, showcasing their critical thinking, communication skills, and ability to argue constructively. Students participated in teams of two, and the event witnessed enthusiastic involvement from across the department.

Student organizers Mr. Shashank and Ms. Kavya of 4th year ECE coordinated the event efficiently, ensuring its smooth execution. The event concluded successfully with participants displaying great energy, confidence, and creativity. Winners were awarded prizes, while all participants were appreciated for their efforts. Mind Sparks not only enhanced students’ communication and debating skills but also promoted teamwork and inspired thinking.
